Possibly the jewel in the Caravan Club crown.
Spacious pitches, many of them with beach and loch views (awning aren’t allowed lochside) in an area great for walking, cycling, boats and canoes.
The campsite has its own boat launch. The Corran Ferry, less than a mile away, provides free access to the other side of Loch Linnhe.
Fishing lochside is excellent, as well as free. Campers can expect to catch sea trout, pollock, cod and mackerel among the weedless areas. Close to pitch 23 is a good spot too.
There’s a play area for kids. Children enjoy picking their way along the loch’s pebble beach.
Apart from several pubs within walking distance, there are so many places to visit further afield; too many to mention them all here. Ben Nevis is a starter. A cable car takes passengers to Aonach Mor Mountain for views of the islands of Skye and Rhum, and the Great Glen.
Oban, the Isle of Mull, Tobermory Mull and Calgary Bay are all worth a visit.
The campsite shop sells all the basics.
